Become an Election Worker
The Harvey County Election Office normally operates 12 polling locations on election day to serve the citizens of Harvey County. A minimum of three election board workers is assigned to each precinct; one Supervising Judge and two Election Board workers. During large elections—or in some larger precincts—more board workers may be assigned to help assist voters. The election office is responsible for administering general elections, city-school elections, primary elections, and special elections for Harvey County.

We are perpetually looking for civic-minded individuals to serve as election workers. The largest challenge facing election officers throughout the country is the successful recruitment of volunteers to properly administer and monitor the electoral process. Other issues may garner more media attention, but recruiting and retaining quality election workers, we believe, is the critical factor in assuring an accurate and fair election. Election Workers are the unsung heroes and heroines of the elections process - they make our democracy work, and they make it the very best it can be.
